I have noticed with rapt observation and raised consciousness on the operation and attitude of the Nigerian police force in discharging their duties and obligatory responsibilities to the citizenry. They are more after the victims and the victimized than the criminals. I am one of the citizen that believe in Nigerian police as I have seen them unravelling mysteries behind some criminal cases, even though many are yet to resolved. But why do Nigerian police harass people for having tattoo, dreadlocks and bogus haircut, well and actually I am not against summoning boys with indecent dressing particularly, sagging even on the road, that is an act of indecency, I have sagged before as a growing boy but not to the extent of showing my underwear, that is boxers panties and undies. But women should not be arrested for any dressing. Nigeria is a civilized society with attendant freedom repository on the individual citizen. However, my concern is about the police going after those who should be protected, the police should be after rapists not the ladies dressing to express feminism, they should be after criminals not guys exhibiting fashion by dreadlocks and haircuts. I have lived in Asia, Europe, Eurasia and Now in America. To let you know, Malaysia is an Islamic country, yet Chinese girls wear so called revealing bum-shorts. Also, Turkey is an Islamic country and Turkish girls wear shorts and 70% of their women and ladies smoke cigarettes in the open. In Cyprus, girls and ladies wear highly revealing dresses or cloths in summer when the warmth from the sun is scorching. But the most important or amazing fact is that I have never heard of a rape case for my 4 years in Malaysia, 2 years in Turkish Cyprus. Why? The police are not after the victims but rather after the criminals and that has actually made the society crime-free and people exhibit their freedom of dressing and expression of fashion. Believe me Nigerian police could be blamed for the death of the guy that was said in a recent online viral video in July 2019 who was said to take to axe and was smashing vehicles windscreen in a particular police station. The guy was said to be arrested for having a tattoo and I am sure the police must have infuriated him during the process of the arrest, hence the reason he took to such act, and he was said to be gunned down, more over we do not know if he survived that or not.
