My Projects
What I’ve Done
Privatization and Commercialization of Public Enterprises in Nigeria.
Exceptional Achievement
A graduating dissertation on capitalization and commercialization of public cum government owned local companies and industries in Nigeria in order for proper management, efficiency of service delivery and how it will eventually culminate into development of the nation. Importantly, I suggested that industries, ventures, SMEs, Government parastatals and institutions should be monetized by either full or partial privatization or commercialization approach. Moreover, I also x-ray the factors inhibiting expansion and profitability of these governmental institutions and their privatization cum commercialization which includes, unhealthy competition from foreign direct investment (FDI), lack of proper structures, effective monitoring system and regulatory agencies and inadequate infrastructural facilities and amenities which include electricity, good roads that should be provided by the government for proper functioning and increased output of these local ventures and companies. Also treated in the thesis which was sequential to my graduation is that the citizens of the nation state, Nigerians, need a re-orientation on the need to appreciate and patronize the locally-made goods and services within the economy to boost the morale of the local producers, investors and entrepreneurs, while firms and industries should work towards production of quality goods, commodities and services that will attract the patronage of locals, they should look beyond manufacturing at low cost of production for the purpose of maximizing their profit, a case of break-even is still allowed at the initial stage of production before their products can gain market popularity within the populace, locally and in the international markets spanning the frontiers of global market.
Boko Haram Effect on Nigerian Economy
Perfect Execution
As a result of my quest to x-ray the effect of the ongoing deadly activities of Boko Haram activities in Nigeria and how it has affected the Northeastern part of the country and the macroeconomy of the nation. Sequel to this, was why I decided to centre the work on these purposes; to enunciate the organization, its history, activities and implication on Nigerian economy. More so, this work looked at the history of Nigerian economy, various contributors cum indicators to its GDP and growth. Therefore, I have submitted my results known through qualitative methodology and made requisite conclusion from various findings, employing the use of existing and secondary data. Additionally, this work evaluated the core effects of the Boko Haram terror of 2014 on the economy, importantly, its impact which is more profound following its declaration as terror group, aftermath its 2014 activities using data, figures and illustration to juxtapose the standpoint. More importantly, this work justifies and shows that Boko Haram was one of the root causes of the economic recession witnessed in the Nigerian economy through 2016 to second quarter of 2017. Justifications used are GDP components, economic indicators, key sector contributors; their percentage contribution to GDP, value added as share of GDP, with the values mostly in US billion dollars and percentage change in the indicators, for effective evaluation of the impacts and implications of terrorism on the macro-economy of Nigeria.
TERRORISM WILL NOT SURVIVE IN THE REALM OF NEW ZEALAND
A Real Success
The study is to submit that terrorism will not survive in an economy like that of New Zealand, as the nation does not have history of armed conflicts, more so, there is an existing regulated political structure and a well-managed public governance. Therefore, existing and secondary data in form of tables and illustrations from reports of Global Terrorism Index, GTI 2015 and 2018 are used to juxtapose the topic and submission, that terrorism will not have a place in the realm of New Zealand. The country does not fall in the category or League of Nations to be infested with terrorism. As much as there were direct costs from the attack in form of loss of lives, the indirect cost will not have any significant impact on the economy of the nation or translate to an ongoing operation of terrorists or terrorism in its globally renowned peaceful realm.
